Synopsis

Tall and grim – that’s how people see Rintaro, which is why he did not make friends until high school. However, Chidori High School is known for its bad pupils, bullies and losers. Right next to it is the Kikyo Girls’ School, and their students don’t like the Chidori boys at all. The girls even draw the curtains so as not to have to look at these primitives from the other side. Kaoruko is one of Kikyo’s students and likes to eat cake after school – to be precise, at the bakery owned by Rintaro’s parents. She enchants him at first sight, but their worlds are so different that even a friendship is impossible. Then Kaoruko says something that will change everything for Rintaro forever: “You’re what matters.”
