Synopsis

After a stressful day at work, two things calm down Mr Sasaki: cigarettes and the friendly Ms Yamada. She works in a supermarket that Mr. Sasaki visits on his way home, and her smile always brightens his mood. But one day, he misses Ms Yamada. Slightly bitter, he looks for a place to have a cigarette, as there are specially marked areas where people can smoke in Japan. Since Mr Sasaki naturally adheres to those standards, he tries to find one of these areas around the supermarket, although he is unsuccessful. There, a young woman, Ms Tayama, talks to him and solves his struggle. She also works in the supermarket and smokes in the backyard after work. But she’s very different from Ms Yamada: she’s a big tease, pierced and seems generally tough. After this fateful encounter, their paths cross more and more often, mostly to smoke a cigarette behind the supermarket. But how does this teasing woman know things that only Ms Yamada knows?
