Synopsis

After ten long, exhausting years, the group of heroes has made it: the Demon King is history! The group, consisting of the hero Himmel, the dwarf warrior Eisen, the pastor Heiter and the elf mage Frieren, now return home as heroes. During their exuberant celebration, a meteor shower appears that only occurs every 50 years. Spurred on by Frieren, who knows a better place to watch, they all promise to come together again for the next meteor shower. Fifty years have passed since then, and during this time, Frieren has travelled the world alone, always searching for new types of magic. But just in time for the meteor shower, they all meet again. However, while Frieren has not aged at all on the outside, her former companions have now become old. Nevertheless, the companions set out on their final journey to relive the experiences of their heroic days. Overjoyed to have made this journey, Himmel dies. At the funeral, Frieren realizes how little she knew Himmel, even though they had been companions for ten years. Wishing to speak to Himmel one last time, she embarks on a new journey along old paths with her new companions, the mage Fern and the frontline fighter Stark.
